The Mysterious Guy

My dream. The one I had a year or two ago… Whatever I remember of it, I am going to write it down. I remember this dream because when I woke up from the dream, I was blissfully happy. I wanted to remember the thing which made me happy… I recollected the dream. I told it to myself at least five times while I still did not get up from my bed.

Here it goes…

Karthika and I are walking back home late at night. There is this guy sitting all alone on the pavement. I could sense that he is smiling at me even when he is far away from me. My heart is waging a war trying to decide whether to run to him or run away from him. At last I reach him. And he says ‘Hi Pavithra… I have been waiting for you for a long time’. His smiles at me and the smile I returned came effortlessly. He joins us and the three of us start walking. We (the mysterious guy and I) leave Karthika at her place. After that he takes me to this lovely restaurant I never knew existed. We talk over dinner. He knows everything about me. Everything I like and everything I do not like. He asks why I took so long to come. All his words make perfect sense to me. He knows I love night life. He makes me spend the entire night with him. We sit on Mount road and sing aloud. We walk miles. He makes me smile. He makes me laugh. We play silly games. Before we know it, it is morning. I take him home. My mom seems to know him. He gives me this mysterious smile………… And I wake up.
